The cross-disciplinary Job Market for Young Researchers, co-organised by Ghent University, KU Leuven, VUB, UAntwerp and UHasselt, provides a unique opportunity to meet with a wide range of companies and organisations in person, collect valuable industry information, build networks, practice and sharpen interview techniques, and join onsite workshops and info sessions.

Participation in the interuniversity Job Market for Young Researchers is free, but registration is mandatory. Registration opens on 3 February 2025.

CV reviews: book an appointment

CV reviews are offered online on Thursday 13 March. Places are limited, so do not postpone booking your 20-minute online consultation with an expert.
Having received confirmation upon registration for the fair, you will be able to log in and book an appointment for a CV check. You need to upload your CV to be able to book your appointment.

Personalised career coaching: do not miss it

Do you need help identifying your skills set and selling it? Are you doubting your career direction? Do you not know how to competitively market yourself? Book a 20-minute online coaching session on Thursday 13 March and discuss your most urgent career question(s). Having received confirmation upon registration for the fair, you will be able to log in and book your coaching appointment. You need to upload your career question(s) to be able to book your appointment!

Career Lunches: tap into a wealth of information

Find out about the hiring trends in the current PhD job market through a range of interactive online Career Lunches (from 6 February through to 20 March). Take a look at this preliminary overview.

On Thursday 27 March PhD candidates and postdocs will be able to take part in a range of onsite career-focused workshops to be organised in Flanders Expo Ghent. The programme is still being developed. Please bear with us for further updates.

Much like the workplace, the interuniversity Job Market for Young Researchers provides opportunities first and foremost to those who are driven to succeed. Make full use of the online CV checks, speed career coaching and Career Lunches to prepare for the live fair on 27 March 2025.

NEW in 2025

• The live fair will be open from 12 pm until 7 pm
• We are adding the Conversation Starter meeting planner for making appointments during exhibition hours. Visitors and companies/organisations can schedule short meetings with each other between 5 pm and 7 pm. The planner will be activated in the run-up to the fair day.
